Whirlwind of Travel

personal

Oye! I don't think I can handle much more in the way of travel. It's about all I've done for the last month. Lis and I went from CA to TX to visit her family and take care of wedding stuff in the middle of Dec. Then we went from TX to MN to visit my family at the end of Dec. We went from MN back to CA for a few days. Then there was a death in the family, and so we drove from CA back to TX. Then we turned around and drove back. And then a few days later, I find myself on a plane back to Austin for work stuff. For a guy who hates to go anywhere, I sure go places!

Outside of traveling, there's not that much new in Aaronland. Wedding plans are coming along, but still very stressful. I can see why marriage is forever -- I know I certainly don't want to go through this crap a second time. I'm not certain I'll survive the *first* time!

I've been feeding my video game addiction nicely. Lis' little brother loaned me a few games which have kept me very happy. I've been playing Zelda on the Wii, but got stuck at an annoying part which kind of turned me off from the game. So I switched over to Bio Shock on the 360 (also a loan from Lawrence), which is an *awesome* game. Scary as hell (like Resident Evil 2 scary!), and really fun. After a few days of doing nothing but playing that game, I beat it. Not certain that I'd spend too much time replaying it; the value just isn't there. So instead, I picked Oblivion back up. I never finished the Shivering Isles content that I bought, so that's what's been occupying me lately. While I'm in Austin however, I have to contend myself with Age of Mythology on my laptop. Sad day, right?
